This is hilarious. Last time I spring cleaned my kitchen cupboards I discovered three canisters of unsweetened cocoa. So for the zombie apocalypse, so long as I have butter (and what self-respecting-lactose-tolerant gal doesn’t??), I guess I’ll be doing large batches of brownies?

“Peckish!” I’ve been trying to find a name for that feeling for some time now. Perfect. If you haven’t already, please make sure you check out the sweet potato fries at either the Culver City or Santa Monica locations of Father’s Office. I’ve yet to find any that come close to the ones they do there. They are famous for their burger, but I’ll pass it up for a basket of those fries any day!

Itsuki is definitely my top spot for noodles in Santa Barbara, though I’m sure it can’t beat noodles in any major city. :) Good bento here, too.

Hello! I read your first blog of this place and now I’m really curious and excited about trying out the ramen. I’m a HUGE ramen fan (top ramen didn’t ruin it for me) who hasn’t found the right place to hit the “Tampopo” spot. Stunning! Reminds me of a recipe I’ve seen floating around from Dorie Greenspan – she soft boils the eggs, sets them aside and cooks bacon, and then heats up the soft boiled eggs (then peeled) in the bacon fat. The whole thing is served over a bed of greens and cooked asparagus. !!!
