Five stars for the carnitas, which was the only food we ordered. It was tender, juicy and slightly sweet. Served in butcher paper to keep those juices and fats close at hand. The tomatillo sauce added the perfect amount of zing to balance the carnitas. Housemade masa tortillas, and finely sliced veggies came with, and [...] Little. Green. Different. Props for the cardamom ice cream. Props for using local, organic dairy. BIG props for the Earl Grey ice cream. There are so many sausages to choose from, and so little stomach space. Luckily, there were three of us, so at least three kinds of sausages were [...] Still busy! Still generous with samples! Still well-priced! Still diverse with flavors and seasonal offers! Still yummy! I had a combination of two flavors. Chocolate on the bottom and strawberry with balsamic on top. And a well-time visit at lunch meant sliding into a well-lit table by the window before the place became packed wall-to-wall with diners.
