Popped in on a whim, saw the new menu, dined there twice. All this occurred over a period of less than 24 hours.

Can I tempt you with housemade charcuterie? Here’s what was on offer my first night:

fennel-chili salami
sorpressa
duck prosciutto
mortadella
lardo
pancetta
foie gras torchon
coppa americana
rabbit pate, country style

How about the price? $5 each, with grain mustard, cornichon, frissee, crostini.

housemade charcuterie selection cheese plate
Left: charcuterie selection. Right: cheese plate. So delicious!

I had the foie gras, rabbit pate, prosciutto and pancetta. I tried to be civilized about it all, but got carried away and found myself eating with my fingers.

My cheese plate was Humbolt Fog, Lamb Chopper and Shaft Blue.

duck egg tagliatelle with short ribs and pecorino bread and butter
Left: tagliatelle. Right: bread and butter. Note flakes of salt on the butter. Mmm.

I also had duck egg tagliatelle with beef short ribs and pecorino, and chocolate pot de creme with pistachio cream and biscotti for dessert. No photo of the dessert, although there’s one in a previous entry. But have a look at the pretty bread and butter presentation.

Exquisite.
